The appearance of observers, especially OSCE, does not stop the war, but the preparation for the Sochi meeting had an impact on the tactics of the sides on the border and somewhat calmed the military activity of Azerbaijan, Russian political analyst Eduard Solovyov told journalists on Wednesday.

"The Iranian position has evolved over time. At first Iran welcomed the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, then there were questions about Baku's close cooperation with Israel.

From the Russian side such statements are also heard, and the emphasis is placed on the extreme undesirability of close contacts between Baku and NATO countries," said the expert.
