In 2023, it is planned to allocate 16 billion 510 million drams to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Armenian Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan stated on Thursday at the joint session of the parliamentary standing committees at the National Assembly during the debates on the 2023 draft state budget.
According to the Minister, 18 billion 434 million drams were transferred to the department in 2022.
"At the same time, 17 billion 90 million drams were allocated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2021," Khachatryan said.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan noted that the ministry requested about 19 billion 280 million drams from the Finance Ministry. The difference, according to the diplomat, is conditioned by currency fluctuations.
"We plan to implement 5 programs with 10 activities," said the Foreign Minister.
Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will receive less funds in 2023 than in previous two years
