Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev. The meeting took place on the margins of the 10th meeting of secretaries of security councils of CIS member states.

The interlocutors discussed the regional security situation, during which Secretary Grigoryan presented the consequences of Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13 and stressed that it was not a border conflict but an incident, a large-scale invasion of the sovereign territory of Armenia.

The Secretary of the Council of the Russian Federation stressed the necessity of achieving peace in the region.

The sides discussed prospects for effective cooperation between the two Security Council offices.
