The third session of the State Border Delimitation and Security Commission and the State Border Delimitation Commission between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev was held in Brussels on Thursday, the press service of the Armenian MFA informed NEWS.am.

Before the meeting, Secretary General of the European External Action Service Stefano Sannino welcomed the delegations of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, wished the commissions successful work and confirmed the EU's readiness to continue its assistance in normalizing relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev in their welcoming speeches expressed gratitude to the Council of the European Union for the good organization of the meeting.

Taking into consideration the agreements reached in different formats at the level of the leaders of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the sides continued the discussion on the delimitation issues, reviewed the organizational and procedural issues.

In order to determine the legal framework of the joint activities of the Commissions, the parties agreed to accelerate the work on the coordination of the order of the joint activities of the Commission on State Border Delimitation and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on State Border Delimitation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.

The parties agreed to determine the date and venue of the fourth meeting of the Commissions in working order.
