The meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Armenian Apostolic Church has concluded, reported the Information Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The meeting was held from Tuesday to Friday at the Mother See—and under the chairmanship of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

At the event, important reference was made to the difficult situation created in Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) as a result of Azerbaijani military aggression, and matters related to the security issues of Armenia and Artsakh, territorial integrity, sovereignty, the just claim of Artsakh's right to self-determination, the mission of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the current situation, as well as the process of peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict were discussed.

As a result of the discussions, the Supreme Spiritual Council issued a statement.

Matters related to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church were also discussed during the meeting.
