In 2023, 70 schools in Armenia will be repaired or rebuilt, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Vahram Dumanyan stated on Monday during the discussion of the 2023 draft state budget in the National Assembly of Armenia at the joint session of parliamentary standing committees.

Besides, construction of 9 standard kindergartens will be finished in the same year. By 2025 it is planned to include about 85% of children from 3 to 5 years old in the pre-school education system.

As for the specialized secondary education, the Minister assured that next year the number of state-funded places in colleges will increase, as well as the list of students receiving discounts on training.

In addition, training in new specialties will continue. For example, since last year the technical schools have introduced specialties for electric car service technicians, solar panels and greenhouse technicians.

There are also plans to introduce new specialties in higher education institutions.
