In 2023 the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia will receive about AMD 250.3bln, Deputy Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan stated on Monday during the debate of the 2023 draft state budget at the joint session of parliamentary standing committees of the National Assembly.

According to him, it exceeds the figure of 2022 by 23bln drams.

"About 77% of all the funds allocated to the ministry from the state budget will be spent on education, 12% on science, 7% on culture, 3% on sports and 1% on youth. At the same time, capital expenses in 2023 will exceed this year's figures by 8 billion drams. This is conditioned by the implementation of investment programs in the sphere of education and sports," the deputy minister said.
