Russia may start using Turkey's storage facilities as hubs for storing and selling its grain, such a decision would be beneficial for both sides, ekonomi.haber7 wrote on Tuesday, citing Eren Gunhan Ulusoy, head of the Turkish Federation of Flour Industry (TUSAF).

"Recently, the Russian side started looking for large grain warehouses in Turkey. Moscow plans to turn Turkey into a "grain center." There are plans to store all products in Turkey and distribute them from here. This will be a great decision for our country," Ulusoy said.

According to him, with 8.5 million tons of licensed storage and port storage capacity, Turkey has sufficient infrastructure to do so.

"Besides, with Turkey becoming a hub, freight prices will also come down. An important step will be taken, both in terms of supply and price," he noted.
