Russia is closely coordinating with Armenia and Azerbaijan on the preparation of a peace treaty, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing.

Zakharova said that with Russia's active involvement consistent efforts and further steps are being taken to strengthen trust between the peoples of the two countries. It's about the development of dialogue between public representatives, experts and parliamentarians.

She assured that Russia will continue to provide necessary assistance to Yerevan and Baku in order to achieve stability and prosperity in South Caucasus.
