YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his working visit to Lithuania, secretary Armen Grigoryan of the Security Council of Armenia on Wednesday met with Kestutis Budrys, chief advisor to the head of the National Security of Lithuania; Galina Vascenkaite, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Lithuania on Eastern Neighborhood and Democracy Promotion; and Lithuania's Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Mantas Adomenas.

The interlocutors discussed the existing security challenges in the South Caucasus and around Armenia, and exchanged ideas on a number of matters of international and regional agenda of mutual interest, the Office of the Security Council of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Within the framework of the abovementioned, Secretary Grigoryan briefed his interlocutors on the security challenges created around Armenia, as well as on the latter’s views and positions towards their being addressed.

During the meeting, the interlocutors touched on a number of issues related to the Armenian-Lithuanian bilateral agenda, and exchanged ideas on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations. They emphasized with satisfaction the high level of Armenia-Lithuania political dialogue, which has become more active in recent times.
