Iran has developed the first domestic hypersonic ballistic missile, Amirali Hajizadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, an elite force) air and space forces of Iran, said Thursday.
"This new missile will pass through all missile defense verification systems, and I don't think there will be technology capable of countering it for decades," Tasnim News Agency quoted Hajizadeh as saying.
He noted that the developed missile is a solution to destroy enemy anti-missile systems. He said the development of such a weapon is a big leap in missile production.
