Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said he has a relationship of trust with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, without which it would be impossible for Russia to resume its participation in the "product deal."
"This is the policy of the leaders, which we have implemented with the respected Mr. Putin. Of course, it would not have been possible without a relationship of trust. The trust and respect we have for each other pushes us to make these kinds of decisions. On all issues, including the construction of the nuclear power plant (in Akkuyu, Sinop), issues on the topic of defense, are based on our trusting relations," Erdogan said, commenting on Russia's renewed participation in the "product deal."
On October 30, Russia announced the suspension of participation in the export of products from Ukrainian ports after Kiev's terrorist attack on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships in the waters of Sevastopol. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russia was resuming its participation in the product deal. According to the Kremlin, information that Kiev gave assurances that it would not use humanitarian corridors under the grain deal for military purposes was obtained through the Russian Defense Ministry.
