YEREVAN. – Speaker of the Republic of Armenia National Assembly (RA NA), Alen Simonyan, on Thursday received a delegation led by Kazbek Taysayev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the Russian State Duma.

The RA NA President especially highlighted the bilateral and multilateral active cooperation between the legislative bodies of Armenia and Russia. He underlined the necessity of holding joint meetings of the specialized committees and singled out their role in strengthening the parliamentary diplomacy, open dialogue and inter-personal contacts. Simonyan particularly noted the spheres of cooperation, adding the need of work to be done in improving them.

At the meeting, the situation created as a consequence of the Azerbaijani military aggression against Armenia on September 13 was touched upon.
