YEREVAN. – Defense Minister Suren Papikyan of Armenia on Friday received Chinese Ambassador Yong Fan, and the newly appointed military attache for defense issues of the Chinese embassy in Armenia, Senior Colonel An Qian.

The Minister of Defense congratulated An Qian on assuming the post of military attache for defense issues of the Chinese embassy in Armenia, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

During the meeting, the defense minister briefed the ambassador on the situation created as a result of the latest Azerbaijani military aggression.

The interlocutors lauded the Armenian-Chinese bilateral relations.

The course of bilateral cooperation, development and expansion opportunities in the defense sector were discussed.
