At all international meetings Armenia records that a part of its territory is occupied by Azerbaijani Armed Forces and the Armed Forces must be withdrawn from Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told Public TV Channel of Armenia.

His remarks came after being asked about the fact that at the end of the meeting in Prague it was never recorded that the Azerbaijani armed forces have been on the territory of Armenia since May 2021 and no request for their withdrawal was voiced.

"Another thing is how these approaches should be formulated and how they are formulated: because the statements are not one-sided, at least two sides work on the texts, and here it is necessary to be maneuverable. There is an answer in your question, because if we take as a basis the border fixed in 1991, we thereby fix that Azerbaijan has occupied part of the Armenian territory. The whole world knows where the borders of the former USSR are, therefore Azerbaijan must withdraw its troops from Armenian territory. Moreover, the delimitation and demarcation of borders should be carried out on that basis," Pashinyan said.
