The Republican Party needs changes amid the preliminary results of the midterm elections to the U.S. Congress, said Republican Senator Josh Hawley, reports Fox News. According to him, the Democrats' continued majority in the Senate, the upper house of Congress, indicates the "death" of the party.

"The old party is dead. Time to bury it. Build something new," Hawley noted.

He believes that people have not received proposals from the Republican Party that have been in their best interests.

"You can’t expect independent voters to vote Republican unless you give them an agenda they care about," Hawley stressed.
