Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made an address to the G20 leaders who gathered at the summit in Indonesia.

The time has come when Russia's war against Ukraine can be stopped, the Ukrainian leader said in his video address to the G20, according to The Guardian.

"We will not allow Russia to wait and build up its forces... I am convinced that now is the time when Russia's war must and can be stopped," the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelenskyy stressed that to end the war, Russia must withdraw its occupying forces, pay compensation for the damage caused to our state, and reaffirm the territorial integrity of our country.

The president also called for holding an international conference to "strengthen a key element of the post-war security architecture" and prevent Russia from repeating its aggression.

The G20 summit is taking place on the Indonesian island of Bali, the event began on Tuesday and is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Russian President Vladimir Putin did not go to the summit. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov went to the event.
