Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine should not be offered compromises of conscience, sovereignty, territory and independence.

Ukraine has always been the leader of peacekeeping efforts, the president said during a video address to the G-20 summit, which was made public by the Office of the President in his Telegram.

"I want this war of aggression to end justly and on the basis of the UN charter and international law, not just any way... We should not offer Ukraine compromises of conscience, sovereignty, territory and independence. We respect the rules, and we are men of our word. Ukraine has always been the leader of peacemaking efforts, and the world has seen it. And if Russia says it allegedly wants to end this war, let it prove it with actions. Obviously, we cannot trust Russia's words and there will be no "Minsk-3" that Russia will violate immediately after its conclusion," he stressed.

According to the Ukrainian leader, the Russian aggression can and must be stopped now.

"If there is no response to restore peace, it means that Russia just wants to deceive all of you once again, to deceive the world and freeze the war just when its defeats have become especially tangible. We will not let Russia wait it out, build up its forces, and then start a new series of terror and global destabilization. I am convinced that it is now necessary and possible to stop Russia's destructive war," Zelenskyy said.
