Britain will allocate £10m ($11.8m) for the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom reported.

The funds will be allocated to the international Energy Support Fund for Ukraine. Half of the amount will go to the Ukrainian authorities in the near future.

A corresponding agreement will be signed on November 15 by British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.

The statement also said that in recent weeks Britain has spent £7 million ($8.2 million) to buy more than 850 generators and £5 million ($5.8 million) to secure the civilian nuclear industry in Ukraine.

In addition, through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, London provided credit guarantees worth $50 million to state energy company Ukrenergo.
