Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Armenia Kypros Yiorgalis (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to Armenian President Vahagn Khachatourian, the press service of the Armenian President told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Vahagn Khachatryan congratulated Ambassador Khachatryan and expressed the hope that his diplomatic experience will contribute to further rapprochement of Armenian-Cypriot relations and the development of multifaceted cooperation.

The president noted in particular:

"In fact, we have a lot in common with each other, because only by fighting together can we overcome the Azerbaijani-Turkish plans, and most importantly, as two countries we have no disagreements. On the contrary, I think we should further develop and integrate with each other."

Touching upon the directions of possible cooperation the President noted that Armenia is ready for multifaceted interaction with Cyprus. In this context he underlined the expediency of opening diplomatic mission of Cyprus in Armenia.

In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the possible Armenia-Greece-Cyprus meeting. It was proposed to hold the meeting in Yerevan. The President and the Ambassador stressed the importance of such meetings.
