The French Senate adopted a resolution urging to impose sanctions against Azerbaijan and withdrawal of Azerbaijani Armed Forces from Armenia. 296 lawmakers voted for the resolution and 1 voted against it.

The resolution provides for sanctions against Azerbaijan, immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from Armenia, implementation of ceasefire agreements in accordance with the statement of November 9, 2020, and assistance to all initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace between the two countries.
