The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic welcomes the resolution adopted by the French Senate on November 15, which condemns Azerbaijan's aggressive and Armenophobic policy against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. It is said in the official statement of the ministry of foreign affairs of the republic.
The document, the ministry noted, reaffirms the need to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and use that recognition as a negotiating tool to establish lasting peace.
The resolution noted that Azerbaijan's repeated aggressive actions against Nagorno-Karabakh threaten the security and freedom of Karabakh Armenians. The Senate calls on the French government to do everything possible to ensure that Azerbaijan immediately joins the negotiation process to achieve a stable peace in the South Caucasus, the statement reads.
The Foreign Ministry notes that such a resolution is an important step from the political, legal and moral perspective since the expansionist and bellicose policy of Azerbaijan poses a serious challenge and threat not only to the Armenian people and Armenian statehood but also to regional stability and the civilized world as a whole.
