Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said he expects to extend the grain deal and intends to hold talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin after returning from the Indonesian island of Bali, where the G20 summit was held.

Erdogan hopes for and believes in a year-long extension of the "grain deal."

"I look forward to extending this work. Our negotiations are constantly going on, and I believe that they will continue until now, there is no problem," the Turkish leader said.

Erdogan said he also expects to discuss with Russian leader Vladimir Putin the transportation of Russian fertilizers and ammonia.

"I said about the grain, the volume exported (from Ukrainian ports) exceeded 10 million tons. Of course, fertilizers and ammonia are also important here. Work is being done in this regard. As soon as I get back, we will talk to Mr Putin and discuss the transportation of Russian fertilizers and ammonia. We are counting on extending the work (of the grain deal) for at least a year," Erdoğan said at a press conference in Bali.
