The chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Anatoliy Lappo, said that Kiev had mined the border with the republic and blown up almost all the bridges in the direction of Gomel and Mozyr, located in southeastern Belarus.

"The efforts of the Ukrainian side are focused on increasing the cover of the border with engineering barriers. Ukraine's border with Belarus is mined, almost all bridges in the Gomel and Mozyr directions have been blown up. They are now beginning to blow up all the bridges in Volyn direction (westward)," Spunik Belarus quotes the head of the Border Committee.

He stresses that all the roads in the Ukrainian border area are impassable.

"The entire population of the Ukrainian borderland is under the influence of the anti-Belarusian and anti-Russian propaganda," said Lappo.

According to the chairman of the State Border Committee, the situation at the state border in the south remains tense.
