U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the agreement by all parties to resume the food deal.

"I welcome the agreement by all parties to continue the Black Sea grain initiative to facilitate the safe navigation of export of grain, foodstuffs and fertilisers from Ukraine," Guterres said.

He added that the UN fully supports the removal of remaining barriers to food and fertilizer exports from Russia.

Earlier, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said that the grain deal would be extended for 120 days. Later this information was confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He added that official announcements from the UN and Turkey were expected.
