On Friday, in the framework of the 43rd session of the Francophone Ministerial Conference, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Andorran Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Ubach Font.
The Armenian and Andorran foreign ministers discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Aremnian MFA informed NEWS.am. In this regard, the sides discussed opportunities for establishing effective cooperation in tourism, sustainable development, and renewable energy spheres.
The sides expressed readiness to undertake joint steps to expand the bilateral agenda, noting in this regard the importance of holding political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
During the meeting they also touched upon cooperation within the framework of international organizations and stressed the importance of the Francophone platform for intensifying bilateral contacts.
The sides exchanged views on regional and international agenda issues as well.
Mirzoyan briefed his counterpart on the situation resulted from Azerbaijan's latest aggression against Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty and touched upon the Armenian side's approaches toward the establishment of stability and security in the South Caucasus.
