Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the Francophone Ministerial Conference.
Mirzoyan and Milkov praised the level of Armenian-Bulgarian ties based on historical ties and shared values, and expressed readiness to further develop bilateral multidisciplinary cooperation, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service informed NEWS.am. In this regard, the sides stressed the importance of holding regular high-level official reciprocal visits.
The Foreign Ministers also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation within international organizations, including further deepening of the effective interaction established between the two countries within the framework of the International Organization of Francophonie.
During the meeting, issues related to regional security and stability were also discussed. Ararat Mirzoyan briefed his interlocutor on the situation in the South Caucasus and the consequences of the latest Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
