Arsen Torosyan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, had meetings with Raimundas Lopata, head of the Lithuanian-Armenian Parliament Friendship Group, and Zygimantas Pavilionis, chairman of the Lithuanian Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs during his working visit to Vilnius, Arsen Torosyan wrote on his Facebook.

He noted in particular:

"During the meetings we talked about the high level of Armenian-Lithuanian relations and the need to deepen them even more in the future.

We also spoke about the importance of deepening relations with the European Union and the practical steps to be taken in that direction.

We discussed the security situation in our region.

I thanked Lopata for his statement condemning the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia in September.

I drew my colleagues' attention to the EU observation mission deployed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as an important new mechanism for regional security. I particularly mentioned the need to extend its deployment, which will bring stability to the region for a longer period of time, so that a lasting peace can be established between the two countries.

P.S. In addition to official meetings, I had an informal meeting with Aurelius Veriga, former Minister of Health of Lithuania and now member of the Seimas, whom I thanked for the great support provided to our country during the first wave of the coronavirus, when a group of Lithuanian medical workers came to the aid of their Armenian colleagues during the most difficult period for us.
