The Polish authorities are preparing a new law on the protection of civilians, planning to increase the number of bomb shelters in the country, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski told RMF radio.

According to him, an inventory of shelters will be made by the end of the year.

The head of the republic's Interior Ministry said they needed to find new facilities for shelters and increase the number of places that would become shelters for citizens.

A journalist asked Kaminski whether authorities should notify residents in border areas about missile threats. The politician replied that such a decision is being analyzed, but there are drawbacks. For example, air-raid sirens sound every day in Ukraine, and if all of them are transmitted to Poles living in the areas bordering Ukraine, it can cause severe panic.
