Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has openly confronted the West over the missile incident in Poland, according to columnist Carly Olson in an article for the American newspaper The New York Times (NYT).
Olson said that Zelenskyy refused to believe the claims by Polish President Andrzej Duda and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that Russia was not involved in the incident. In addition, according to the analyst, the Ukrainian leader denied that the missiles that fell in Lublin province belonged to the AFU.
Zelenskyy seemed to have planned to profit from that incident. On Tuesday, alluding to Poland's membership in NATO, he accused Russia of a blow to collective security, the publication said.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the wreckage of the missiles that fell in Poland were parts of an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile of the Armed Forces.
