The Norwegian government has allocated 2 billion Norwegian kroner (about $195 million) to support Ukraine's energy supply in winter. This was reported in a government statement released on Monday.
The kingdom's finance minister, Trygve Slagsvold Vedum, signed an agreement to this effect with a representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, through which financial assistance to Ukraine for the purchase of gas is channeled.
"It is important that support is provided through a reputable international organization that ensures the efficient and transparent use of funds," the minister said.
