The Yerevan meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) got underway Wednesday with delay.

Members of the CSTO Collective Security Council will discuss current issues of international and regional security and the main results of CSTO activities in the period between meetings. One of the most important matters will be the improvement of the CSTO crisis response system and the discussion of joint measures to provide assistance to Armenia.

Also, a declaration is expected to be adopted during the session of the Collective Security Council.

Taking into account the passing of the 2022-2023 chairmanship of the CSTO to Belarus, the latter’s President Aleksandr Lukashenko will present his country's respective priorities which shall be implemented next year.

The signing of a number of documents is also on the agenda of the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting.

The 2023 budget of the CSTO will be discussed, too.
