The DPRK on Saturday morning launched three short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan, Yonhap news agency reported, citing a statement from South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
It said the missile was launched from the Hwanghae-Pukdo area.
The Japanese Coast Guard previously issued two notifications of North Korean missile launches. They landed outside Japan's exclusive economic zone, according to NHK Channel sources.
