A phone conversation between Armenian and Russian foreign ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov took place at the initiative of the Armenian side, reports the press service of the Russian foreign ministry.

The FMs exchanged views on a number of topical matters on the bilateral agenda, expressing mutual disposition towards strengthening allied relations between Moscow and Yerevan.

"The issue of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations was discussed. The Russian side emphasized the importance of the early resumption of the work towards the implementation of the high-level trilateral agreements of November 9, 2020, January 11, November 26, 2021, and October 31, 2022, including the unblocking of all transport and economic connections in the region, the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the coordination of the parameters of the peace treaty [expected to be signed] between Yerevan and Baku, as well as the promotion of the dialogue of public figures, experts, and parliamentarians," says the statement by the Russian foreign ministry.
