“Thank you dear [Armenian deputy FM] Vahan Kostanyan, thank you dear [Armenian parliament vice-speaker and Armenia’s representative in the negotiations with Turkey] Ruben Rubinyan for your kind efforts to make this happen. I will always remember the generous aid sent by the people of Armenia to help alleviate the sufferings of our people in the eartquake striken region in Türkiye [(Turkey)],” Kilic wrote on Twitter.
Trucks loaded with humanitarian aid from Armenia have crossed the border with Turkey, through the Margara bridge, and headed to the earthquake-affected region.
The closed Armenia-Turkey land border was crossed by a truck via the Margara bridge for the last time in 1993.
The Armenian government has sent rescuers as well to quake-ravaged Turkey and Syria.
