Seven medical patients were transferred from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, and one patient returned to Artsakh Saturday—and accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Artsakh Information Center.

Accordingly, due to the closure by Azerbaijan of the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia, seven patients from the Republican Medical Center of Artsakh—and with serious oncological and cardiovascular diseases, as well as pathologies requiring emergency surgical interventions—were transported Saturday to specialized medical institutions of Armenia—and through the mediation and the escorting of the ICRC.

One patient, who had been transferred to Armenia for medical treatment, returned to Artsakh—together with an accompanying person.

Planned surgeries in medical institutions of Artsakh continue to be suspended.

Five children remain in the neonatology and intensive care units of Arevik Medical Center.

Twelve patients remain at the intensive care unit of the Republican Medical Center, and four of them are in critical condition.

As of Saturday, a total of 90 medical patients have been transported from Artsakh to Armenia, with the mediation and assistance of the ICRC.
