Armenia is preparing the text of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan. Sargis Khandanyan, the new chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and a member of the ruling majority Civil Contract Faction of the NA, said this in parliament on Monday, during traditional press briefings.

Recently, the MP noted, proposals were received from the Azerbaijani side.

"Currently, work is being done on these proposals... When our proposals are ready, they will be sent to the Azerbaijani side," Khandanyan said.

And reflecting on the recent visit to Armenia by Igor Khovaev, the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Russian foreign ministry special representative for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, the Armenian lawmaker noted, in particular, that the representatives of the Armenian government discussed with the Russian co-chair the need for the unblocking of the Lachin corridor, ensuring security, as well as all some other matters and aspects of foreign policy.

"It was another visit by the co-chair to Armenia. The results should be considered in a wider context," added the MP of the ruling NA faction.
