The volume of Russia's nuclear exports has surged since the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, increasing the Kremlin's revenues and strengthening its influence on a new generation of global buyers, Bloomberg writes.

At the same time, the agency stresses that the U.S. and its allies have avoided imposing sanctions on the nuclear industry.

Exclusive trade data collected by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) shows that Russian nuclear fuel and technology sales abroad increased by more than 20% in 2022, the agency notes.

Meanwhile, according to the same data, purchases by European Union member states rose to their highest level in three years.
