The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has equipped its helicopters with various sea mines, Tasnim reports.

A documentary aired on Iranian state television showed that IRGC Navy helicopters have become capable of conducting naval mine operations.

IRGC Navy Mi-17 helicopters can now take action against enemy submarines.

Iranian television has shown footage of a Mi-17 helicopter dropping locally produced Maham-II sea mines off the coast of Iran.

The Iranian sea mine, which contains 350 kilograms of explosives, is equipped with sound and magnetic sensors. Maham-II is laid 10 to 50 meters deep at sea and can destroy various ships and submarines weighing up to 250 tons and cruising at 4 to 15 knots.

The IRGC Navy helicopters are already equipped with Noor anti-ship cruise missiles with a range of 120 kilometers, Qader air-launched missiles with a range of 200 kilometers and C-5 57 mm rocket launchers.
