European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen said the EU will send a 100-member mission to Armenia next week.

"Good to meet PM Niko lPashinyan. EU is a committed partner of Armenia. 

Next week, the EU will send a 100-strong mission contributing to peace and stability.

We welcome progress made on democratic reforms and will develop further the potential in our Economic Investment Plan," von der Leyen wrote on her Twitter micro-blogging.

The question of sending EU mission arose after Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia in September 2022.

The EU approved the sending of a civilian mission to Armenia, to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
