Azerbaijan and Armenia need to demonstrate that the transition from the longstanding position of mutual hatred and hostility must end, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, speaking at a discussion on "Shifting mountains? Strengthening Security in the South Caucasus" at the Munich Security Conference.

Armenia and Azerbaijan are now working on the peace agreement. Aliyev hopes they will complete it sooner rather than later. It could be a good example of how countries that have had serious historical disagreements can come together and turn the page of enmity, Aliyev said.
