Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan welcomed the arrival and start of work of the new EU civilian observer mission in the republic. During his meeting with EU External Action Service Chief Stefano Tomat on February 21, Secretary of the Security Council expressed confidence that the mission will continue to contribute to establishing stability and peace in the region.
Stefano Tomat, in turn, thanked the Armenian side for supporting the EU civilian mission and presented the works they will be carrying out in Armenia, the Security Council Staff told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The sides also discussed other issues related to future cooperation.
The EU launched the civil mission for two years on February 20.
