Armenian government attaches great importance to interaction with the Czech Republic in political and economic spheres. Czech Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan voiced this opinion at his meeting with Czech Ambassador to Armenia Petr Piruncik, Czech Republic's newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Armenia.

The PM congratulated him on his appointment and expressed hope that Czech-Armenian relations will continue to develop and strengthen during his term in office, the press service of the Armenian government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Ambassador conveyed the invitation of his country's Prime Minister to the Czech Republic and expressed confidence that the visit would contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation in various directions. The interlocutors discussed issues related to cooperation in the field of high technology, solar energy, aviation, tourism, education and other areas.

The sides also discussed regional processes, particularly the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh caused by Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor and the activities of the EU civilian mission in Armenia.
