On February 23, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and newly appointed U.S. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Christine Quinn discussed a number of Armenian-American defense and regional security cooperation issues, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed.

The Armenian Defense Ministry press service informed NEWS.am that the defense minister congratulated the U.S. Ambassador on the start of her mission in Armenia and wished her fruitful cooperation and success.

The sides also discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
