The Ministry of Defense commented on the information in the online space regarding possible provocations in Transnistria.
The ministry said that it monitors all the events, actions and changes taking place in the region and on the territory controlled by the Tiraspol regime.
"We note that at the moment there are no direct threats to the military security of the state," the Defense Ministry noted.
The ministry is cooperating with all other security bodies of the state to be able to prevent any attempt of destabilization, to preserve peace and stability in the country and to ensure the safety of the citizens.
National Army troops as part of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the Security Zone operate as normal.
The Ministry of Defense immediately informs public opinion in the event that possible threats to the security of the country are identified.
"The false information distributed is aimed at creating panic and confusion among the inhabitants of both banks of the Dniester River. We urge citizens to remain calm and receive information only from official sources," the ministry added.
