Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar.
Pashinyan praised the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and noted with satisfaction the institutional reforms implemented in our country with EU support.
He stressed the importance of the EU civil mission in Armenia which will contribute to stability and peace in the region.
The interlocutors touched upon the consequences of the humanitarian, environmental and energy crisis, which broke out in Nagorno Karabakh as a result of the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan. The Prime Minister of Armenia stressed the importance of the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on lifting the blockade of the Lachin corridor.
The sides exchanged views on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
