On February 24, U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Christine Callaghan Quinn met with the families displaced from Nagorno Karabakh as a result of the war in Metsamor, Armenia.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, Quinn met with the displaced people and cooked zhengyalov khats at Mets and More Bakery, a bakery opened with the support of USAID.

The bakery provides employment and reintegration opportunities for displaced families living in Metsamor.

The Ambassador expressed deep concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. The United States calls for the immediate restoration of free movement in the Lachin corridor.
