Poland has spent $9 billion during 2022 to help Ukrainian refugees, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said, speaking Friday at a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, TASS reported. 

According to Rau, in addition, Poland provides support, hosts more than a dozen UN agencies and other international organizations that help Ukraine from Polish territory.

According to Polish Interior Ministry calculations, 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees who arrived in the country received special identification numbers that allow them to legally live, study, work and receive social benefits in the republic. At the moment about 1.3-1.4 million people from among those who arrived from Ukraine after February 24 last year remain in the country. About 80% of them started working in Poland.
