MOSCOW. – No strong shift should be expected in the power balance between Armenia and Azerbaijan, head of the analytical department of the Institute of Political and Military Analysis Alexander Khramchikhin told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Commenting on Wednesday’s demonstration of new weapons at the pageant in honor of Independence Day of Armenia, including tactical missile systems "TOCHKA" and the non pilot aircraft "Krunk" produced by the Armenian defense industry, he noted that the extension of the Armenian arms should not be considered beyond the context of strong growth of military facilities in Azerbaijan.

Presence of Russian troops in Yerevan is another proof of Armenian and Russian alliance.

“It proves that Russia continues to approach Armenia as one of its serious allies,” the expert added.

Ground and aerial military equipments of Armenian Military Armed Forces were shown in Yerevan during the parade dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
