A delegation led by Tabea Roessner, the Deputy Chair of the Germany-South Caucasus Friendship Group of the German Bundestag, on Tuesday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, informed the National Assembly of Armenia.

“I am deeply shocked and excited by the Armenian people’s suffering. I think that we, witnessing many genocides in Europe, should always develop in the society the culture of memory and always speak about that. One of its vivid testimonies is the resolution on recognizing the Armenian Genocide in the Bundestag, due to which we took a step to boost the recognition process in the whole world,” Roessner said during her visit to the memorial.

Roessner and the members of the delegation led by her laid a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims and honored in silence the memory of the Holy Martyrs.

Also, the guests toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, and Tabea Roessner made a note in its Book of Honored Guests.
